Dar Magrheb!

Last week was my birthday, and I celebrated by going out to dinner with my lady to this resturant called Dar Maghreb at 7651 Sunset Blvd in Hollywood. #: 323-876-7651



This place was phenomenal! a traditional moroccan resturant that served a 6 course meal.

we at eveything -Braised Lamb with Honey and Prunes,flaky pastry shell stuffed with chicken, almonds, eggs and spices, couscous with steamed vegatables, fresh fruit and nuts, and they even had Morocan beer. i didnt quite figure that one out since alcohol is not legal in Muslamic cultures, but regardless, it was a good beer.

the place was nuts. the walls and celings were all hand painted with these morocan patterns. The walls had hand carved stone, and in the center of the resturant was a fountian.



The setting was great. no utensils, so you had to eat everything with your hands. Very romantic.

The only thing that sucked was that about half way through the meal my phone died, and i couldnt take any pictures that does the place justice. Belly dancers would periodicallly twirl into the room and dance as you ate.

As a man who loves food, i can tell you this meal is worth every dime!
